The third generation male idols took the "Flower Boy" syndrome a step further. As female fantasy and demands of "younger boyfriends" grew and cuteness became a major charming point of guys, "Uni-sex style" attracted many fans. The third generation of male idol started in mid to late 2000s with the debut of SHINee, followed by other groups like Teen Top, Infinite, BEAST, and MBLAQ. Among these groups, SHINee, Teen Top, and Infinite shows the clear transformation in male idol trends from first to third generation.
Skinny jeans, pastel colors, and extravagant accessories beautified these male idols. Teen Top and Infinite wear narrow-shouldered jacket and skinny pants to appeal their androgynous suit fashion. SHINee is all about looking lovely with their pastel colors and accessories. Recently at a launching promotion of Etude House, they looked lovelier than ever with their "younger boyfriend" look.

The second generation of male idol groups consist of TVXQ, Super Junior, Big Bang, and others who debuted in the early to mid 2000s. These groups grabbed idol fans attention with much softer looks than their senior idol groups. Their pretty faces gave them the nickname of "Flower Boy Bands."
While the first generation male idol groups used dark and masculine colors like black and navy to create their unique aura, the second generation idols preferred more modern and softer colors like khaki and brown, which allows them to still look masculine, but not macho. Big Bang, who recently came back with "Blue," matched black jeans with khaki colored military jackets, fur coats, and brown outerwear to complete their sophisticated look.

The six members were all dressed in black suits, accentuating Shinhwa's masculine image. Jun Jin wore a long coat to focus attention on his tall statue and Eric highlighted his manly broad shoulders with a one-button blazer.
Tony An from H.O.T. also produced a masculine rebel image in the late 90s with songs like "Aiya," and "Warrior's Descendant." He is still appealing the tough-guy charm in his "Tony&SMASH" activities with rider leather jackets and big combat boots.

BIGBANG to hold ‘ALIVE TOUR 2012′ around the world through Live Nation
BIGBANG will be holding their very first world tour, titled ‘ALIVE TOUR 2012‘ this year through Live Nation.
From March 2nd to the 4th, Big Bang will open their world tour in the Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastic Stadium. Following these shows, the group will tour 16 countries, 25 cities, in Asia, North America, South America, and Europe.
Big Bang recently received the “Worldwide Act Award” during Europe’s MTV Music Awards. (EMA) Big Bang plans on meeting worldwide fans through their world tour.
By working with Live Nation, the tour will be brought to a higher level in terms of the scale of directing. As Live Nation has helped world tours for Madonna and U2, Big Bang is the first Asia singers to earn the help of Live Nation with the joint investment and production team. Live Nation is recently a promotion agent for K-pop singers in 1-2 regions in America and Europe.
Live Nation’s president, Alan Ridgeway, stated, “We are very happy that we are working with YG Entertainment and Big Bang to show [our work] to worldwide K-pop fans. If this performance is a good starting point for the Korea branch we established last December, we expect it to contribute to the K-pop fever expansion.”
The producer 'Laurieann Gibson' will be taking the lead position as director. 'Laurieann Gibson' is a well-known director, choreographer, actress, and creative director. She is known most recently for directing Lady Gaga‘s ‘The Monster Ball Tour’, in addition to choreographing “Poker Face”, “Judas”, and “Telephone”. She has also worked with top stars like Michael Jackson,Janet Jackson, Beyonce, and Katy Perry.
In addition, stage/lighting designer, Leroy Bennett, will help put in his efforts for the world tour as he has previously worked with Madonna, Paul McCartney, and Eagles. In addition, Ken Van Druten will work as the sound director, who has previosuly helped Eminem, J-Jay, and Linkin Park. The visual contents producing team, Possible Productions, will also join in preparing for Big Bang’s World Tour.
YG Entertainment is in the process of preparing the world’s best concert with the best production team to equal the anticipation of the world fans who are waiting for the first concert they will get to meet Big Bang … With the newly released album and the starting of the world tour, you will be able to confirm Big Bang’s maturity and skill.

Choi Seung Hyun or usually called T.O.P is a rapper and vocalist of Korea Boy band Big Bang. TOP is also an actor and has also been in dramas such as I Am Sam (2007) and spy thriller IRIS (2009 14th of October – still airing).
YG’s staff calls T.o.P Keun SeungHyun, meaning Big Seung Hyun, to distinguish between the two Big Bang members named Seung Hyun. Before joining Big Bang, he performed in clubs and even won KBS Radio’s “Rap Battle” in 2003. Tempo is one of the two rappers in the Big Bang and is also very talented in beat-boxing. Recently, TOP has successfully finished filming his role as the school’s top fighter in a Korean drama called, I Am Sam. His character’s name in the drama was Chae Mu Shin and his talent as an actor has impressed the fans and the viewers as well.
